Entertainment, sport, and business

Gessica, born and raised in Rimini, has cultivated two great passions since childhood: horse riding and show business. On horseback since she was 10 years old, at 15 she began her career in equestrian theatre, building an artistic and professional career in contact with intelligent and sensitive animals. With the same passion, he devoted himself to sport in the saddle, practising show jumping.

Inspired by her husband's talent and their shared passion for riding, Gessica founded Del Rey srl in 2022, an international sports horse trading company, projecting her passion for show jumping horses into the business. She takes care of the management of the stable and company marketing, assisting Filippo in the selection and care of the best subjects to create perfect pairs.

Gessica is active in the world of equestrian shows: combining her passion for horses and her work as an international showgirl, she created the first real equestrian musical “Broadway”, of which she is artistic director and performer.

In November 2017, she was honoured by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella with the Knight of the Republic Cross for her civil commitment.

Filippo Bologni

athlete, instructor
horse trainer and breeder

Filippo Bologni was born in Reggio Emilia on 18 February 1994, thus sharing his birthday with a great show jumping champion Graziano Mancinelli. A coincidence? A few weeks later his father, Arnaldo, won the Grand Prix of the Csio of Rome in Piazza di Siena, to say that riding is in his blood.

Competitive career

Learning the rudiments of the equestrian art in his parents' stable, Filippo pursued a competitive career from a very young age, excelling in pony competitions.

In 2006, 2007 and 2008 he won gold, silver and again gold respectively in the Italian Championships of absolute pony show jumping riding Dexter Leam Pondi (2006) and Dim du Mirail (2007 and 2008). He also took part in the European Championships of his category in Saumur (France) in 2006 riding Dexter Leam Pondi and came 7th individually.

In 2011, he joined the Carabinieri Sports Group.

Having switched to stature horses, Filippo in seven Italian Youth Show Jumping Championships (four as a junior and three as a young rider) won four gold medals, three of them consecutive as a young rider riding Chopin (2013, 2014, 2015). The European Championships saw him ride once as a children's rider (2008, team silver medal on Coriana in Athens), twice as a junior (2009 and 2012) and three as a young rider (2013, 2014, 2015) with the team bronze medal in 2014 in Arezzo on Chopin. Filippo took on his first absolute Italian Championships in 2016, finishing among the best fifteen competitors (12th place on Chopin) before making a decisive leap in quality in 2020 by finishing 5th on Diplomat.

After having competed in more than twenty Nations Cups in the youth sector, he made his debut in the Senior Nations Cup in August 2013 in Bratislava (Slovakia) and thereafter - until the end of 2025 - there will be eight of his appearances in the Italian national team; to these must be added those at the 2018 Mediterranean Games in Barcelona on Quidich de la Chavee (5th individual and 3rd team) and at the European Championships in Riesenbeck (Germany) in 2021 riding Quilazio. With the national show jumping team, Filippo has finished in the top five places of a Nations Cup five times: of particular significance was his victory in Gijon (Spain) in 2019 on Quilazio and his 2nd place in La Baule (France) in 2021 again on Quilazio, not only because of the importance of the result in itself but also because both were five-star Nations Cups, i.e. of the highest possible international level, both technical and competitive. They add to their competitive palmares regular appearances in the most important competitions in Europe and the world.

Equestrian skills and communication in the round

The experience and maturity of a twenty-year equestrian career allow Filippo Bologni to work as an instructor in Olympic disciplines for sporting merit and as a trainer he enhances horses of all ages to take them to the highest levels of competition. Over the years Filippo has become a point of reference for the selection of sport horses on both the Italian and international markets. Last but not least, he stands out for his great competence in communicating to the specialist and generalist public of the equestrian world both on his social profiles (in particular IG, where he can count on more than 140k followers) and on the small screen, where he assiduously comments for RAI Sport on international competitions such as the Modo Cup and European Championships.
